These are a few of my beliefs regarding gaming :
1. A console is only as good as it's games - if you have a console with no games then why did you buy the console? A good console has the best games available for it.
2. Games should be explored. Search every nook and corner for those hidden collectibles! Admire the graphics. Read the dialogue. Make effort worthwhile. A lot of effort is put in making games, so appreciate it.
3. There isn't really such a thing as a "bad game" unless you decide so. There's nothing worse then suffering a drought of games. Buy those bargain games and save them for a "rainy day".
4. Games are meant to be enjoyable and fun foremost. If you are not enjoying a game, put it aside and do something else. Maybe put those games in your "rainy day" pile.

The art of gaming
I love gaming. It is so much more than people often give it credit for. Following are a list of points regarding the "art of gaming"
- It stimulates fine motor skills, hand eye coordination with button pressing. (With motion control, fitness and dancing games also provide physical activity.)
-It stimulates the mind, aiding problem solving skills. Gaming can also provides a sense of achievement.
-Gaming stimulates emotions. Games contain stories, characters, backdrops. They can provide fantasy as well as escapism. Difference from accepted mediums such as reading or film? Gaming is interactive.
-Gaming can be social. LAN parties, couch co-op, online multiplayer are highly celebrated gaming experiences where gamers get together. Games can be a point of conversation and discussion can even extend to areas such as the schoolyard or at family/friend gatherings.
-Gaming is an "art" literally. They can provide graphics, animations and music.
